Since we started producing with AI at ProducciónAparte, we have seen, and made, the same mistakes we now see brands repeat when they try it on their own. Here are the most common ones.
- Skipping art direction
Generating straight from a prompt without defining a visual direction first produces inconsistent results scene to scene. The fix is the same as in traditional production: define the visual world before generating, not after.
- Not filming anything real when it's actually needed
Not everything should be solved with AI. When a project needs a person’s genuine expression or a product’s real detail, combining real filming with AI produces better results than generating everything from scratch.
- Underestimating human review
A generated result can look fine at first glance and fail in the details: hands, text, continuity. Review from someone with real production experience is still the quality filter.
- Not planning iterations
- Choosing the tool before the concept
Starting with which AI tool to use instead of what you need to communicate almost always shows in the final result.
If you are evaluating your first AI project and want to avoid these mistakes from the brief onward, let’s talk before you start producing.
